Brian Head Town seeks qualified applicants to serve as its Public Works Director. This unique opportunity provides unmatched quality of life in a relaxed mountain town atmosphere, while still offering varied and interesting work content.
Under the direction of the Town Manager, the Public Works Director performs a wide variety of complex technical, administrative and supervisory duties involving organizing, planning, controlling, and directing all phases of the municipal public works operations, including:
• Street maintenance and snow removal
• Parks and Trails maintenance and construction
• Culinary water system maintenance and improvements
• Waste water collection system maintenance and improvements
• Solid waste collection
• Municipal building and equipment maintenance
Graduation from college with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and five to seven (5-7) years of experience in public works or construction, at least three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. Additional years of experience may be substituted for education.
