Principal Civil Engineer – Land Development (Hybrid):
The Principal Engineer is a management level position in the Engineering Department and is responsible for directing and supervising the review of land development and various public works projects for the Department. The Principal Engineer is responsible for the management, development, and professional growth of the Department teams and individual staff. Duties will include managing and administering various Department activities, programs, and projects.
A Principal Engineer provides expertise in the areas of planning, coordination, and supervision of the design, program and project management, and land development review of Public Works’ projects which will require the following skills:
- Successful track record with local agencies, clients’ relations, project management, and business development.
- Lead selected projects within technical areas of expertise and broad experience in working with local public works agencies.
- Ability to work effectively with others to manage and deliver projects.
- Mentor staff and track staff professional development.
- Active in public works organizations or other industry groups.
